Fragpunk Server Connection Fix Guide
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Check FragPunk Server Status
- Visit FragPunk's official website or social media accounts for updates on server maintenance or outages.
- Use services like Downdetector to see if other players are reporting similar issues.
2. Restart Devices
- Restart your PC or console and your router/modem. Wait 30 seconds before turning them back on.
3. Verify Game Files
- For Steam:
- Go to Library → Right-click on FragPunk → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files.
- For Epic Games:
- Click the three dots next to FragPunk in the launcher and select "Verify".
4. Update Network Drivers
- Open Device Manager → Expand Network Adapters → Right-click your active connection → Select "Update Driver" → Choose "Search Automatically for Updated Drivers".
5. Adjust Firewall/Antivirus Settings
- Allow FragPunk through Windows Firewall:
- Open Windows Security → Firewall & Network Protection → Allow an app through firewall → Ensure FragPunk is allowed on both Private and Public networks.
- Temporarily disable antivirus software and add the game as an exception if it resolves the issue.
6. Clear DNS Cache and Reset Network Settings
Run the following commands in Command Prompt (Admin mode):
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
This will reset network configurations.
7. Disable VPNs/Proxies
- Turn off any VPN or proxy services, as they may interfere with server connections.
8. Switch Networks
- Try using a different network, such as a mobile hotspot, or switch to a wired Ethernet connection for better stability.
9. Update Windows
- Go to Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates and install them.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, contacting FragPunk's support team or your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may be necessary to investigate further.
